Description
About the Role
At Classiq Technologies, we're shaping the future of quantum computing by developing software
that bridges the gap between quantum algorithms and real-world hardware.
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D team and help
build our Fault Tolerance Engine — a sophisticated software system addressing complex
challenges in architecture, scalability, performance, and quantum error correction.
This is an opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology, solve challenging engineering
problems, and make a meaningful impact on the future of computing.
No prior quantum computing experience is required. We value strong software engineering
skills, architectural thinking, and the ability to learn complex technical domains.
What You'll Do
● Design, develop, and maintain core components of Classiq's Fault Tolerance Engine.
● Build clean, modular, efficient, and extensible software, with a strong focus on code quality and maintainability.
● Take ownership of complex engineering tasks, from system design through implementation, testing, and integration.
● Contribute to architectural decisions, component design, and system interfaces.
● Collaborate with researchers and engineers to turn quantum error correction concepts
into reliable, production-quality software.
● Integrate with external frameworks, simulators, and hardware execution environments.
Who you are
● 5+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial
work on complex software systems.
● Proven experience in software architecture and system design, including building
modular, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
● Strong hands-on coding skills in Python, with a solid understanding of software
engineering principles and best practices.
● Experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining production-quality software.
● Demonstrated ability to independently own complex engineering tasks and deliver robust
solutions.
● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with researchers and
engineers.
Bonus Points
● Experience with compilers, simulation engines, or high-performance computing.
● Experience with C++, Rust, or other systems programming languages.
● Background in scientific computing or algorithmically intensive software.
● Experience in quantum computing or quantum error correction.
