Optical design engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop concepts for evaluation of new sensing technology

• Feasibility study of electro-optical solution

• Optical design, implementation and testing of system and setups

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in optical engineering

• Minimum 3 years of experience in optical and optical systems design

• Availability per need as a freelancer

• Design of optical systems from concept, assembly and final testing

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate models to predict electro-optical signatures by simulating heat and mass transfer, viscous/compressible, and reactive flows.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate predictions and integrate models into broader systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Engineering or Exact Sciences from a recognized university in Israel or abroad.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in heat transfer modeling and physical simulations.

• Good understanding of heat and mass transfer principles.

• Basic knowledge of electro-optics and its applications.

• Proficiency in MATLAB or PYTHON programming.

• Familiarity with CFD simulation tools is a plus.
