R&D Team Leader

 

We are looking for a passionate SAM GUARD R&D Team Leader to take our R&D team to the next level.

SAM GUARD mission to build a world where people can always rely on the machines that matter. Within the combination of Human Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence (AI), we predict and prevent industrial machine failures. Our solution helps customers improve the reliability, quality, and sustainability of their operations.

Location: Nesher, Israel

Position Scope:

• Collaborate closely with product and services leads to assess project tasks, establish priorities, and ensure the smooth execution of projects.
• Measure, analyze and improve the performance, scalability, and robustness of the product as well as processes.
• Technically mentor and assist team members to excel at their job by executing code and design reviews, and technical guidance.
• Hands-On Involvement: Expected to be directly involved in technical activities for 30% of the role.
• Driving innovation, high product quality.
• Mentor and guide team members, providing constructive feedback on their work.
• Be responsible for the overall design, development, architecture, code quality, and production environment deployment of your team.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ software engineering computer engineering or a military course in an elite tech unit.
• Minimum 2 years of Experience in managing highly skilled developers, and the ability to lead, coach, guide and influence them.
• At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python/Java/ Angular
• In-depth knowledge with Scrum/Agile methodology
• Big plus experience leading data science projects from idea to production using various ML solutions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and guide team members effectively.
• Team player, highly motivated, can-do approach
• Excellent English – written and verbal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
