What will the IT specialist be doing?

You will be responsible for maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure (hardware and software) and resolving all IT support issues.

To be successful as our IT specialist, you must have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies (see below) including proven hands-on experience.

IT Specialist Responsibilities

• Regularly evaluating our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands.
• Installing and upgrading new software and hardware components.
• Assisting with network administration tasks.
• Ensuring data storage is safe and secure.
• Resolving all issues coworkers have with their IT systems and software.
• Educating coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage.
• Supporting the day-to-day operations of our computer infrastructure and network.

Job requirements

• At least 3 years’ IT experience at Mid-tier B2B organizations
• High level knowledge and practical experience with core IT subjects (see below)
• Strong problem-solving and high technical skills
• An amiable personality and an aptitude for customer service

Expected technical knowledge and work experience

• Linux & Windows working environments
• Active Directory
• Understanding of DNS, SMTP, virtualization, NAS, VPN
• Familiarity with: Zabbix, TrueNAS, pfSense, OpenVPN, Postfix, oVirt, remote connections
• BASH scripting (Python an advantage)
• Understanding of modern Web based application concepts – advantage.
• Dockers, Kubernetes – a big advantage
• Fluent English (verbal and written) – essential
