Join the IPASS team and own the product-services layer that connects our real-time simulator environment to cloud services, databases, web applications, analytics, and operational tools. A backend-oriented role (approximately 70% backend / 30% frontend) for an engineer who can take a feature from system design through deployment.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for the product platform
- Develop services for authentication, trainee management, missions, scenarios, and assessments
- Build reliable flows for ingesting simulator telemetry and eye-tracking data
- Build and maintain web applications, dashboards, and internal tools in React and TypeScript
- Support deployment, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, observability, and cloud environments
What you bring
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful backend ownership
- Strong backend experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and REST API design
- Strong experience with SQL relational databases and data modeling
- Strong working knowledge of React for production-quality web interfaces
- Experience with a major cloud platform, Git, Docker, and CI/CD workflows
