What you will do

  • Run reliability analyses on customer hardware: MTBF prediction, electrical stress and de-rating, FMECA, RBD and schematic review.
  • Review schematics and BOMs for design weaknesses that a standard DRC does not catch, and write up what you found so a customer's engineers can act on it.
  • Turn what you learn on real boards into rules and component data inside fiXtress®, CircuitHawk® and the Synthelyzer™ ECAD plugin, so the next analysis finds it automatically.
  • Work alongside our AI: help build and grade the prompts, datasets and checks that let a model read a schematic, a datasheet or a BOM — and be the engineer who says whether its answer is right.
  • Replace your own manual steps. An analysis that takes a week by hand is the raw material for the next feature; you are expected to automate yourself out of the repetitive parts and say what should be automated next.
  • Work directly with customers' engineering teams during a project, and with our software engineers on what the tools should do next.

What we are looking for

  • B.Sc. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Several years of hands-on engineering behind you. This is a staff-level role: you are expected to set the technical direction on the analyses you own, not to be handed one.
  • Hands-on electronic circuit design or design verification — you can read a schematic and say what will fail first.
  • Comfortable with component datasheets, stress ratings and de-rating standards.
  • Demonstrated process improvement: something you made faster, more repeatable or less error-prone, and what it looked like before and after.
  • Practical use of AI in your own engineering work — what you use it for, where you do not trust it, and how you check it. Scripting in Python, MATLAB or similar is a strong plus.
  • An interest in reliability engineering: MIL-HDBK-217, IEC 61508, DO-254 and their relatives. Experience with them is welcome, and willingness to learn them counts.
  • English good enough to write a report a customer will read.
