As we continue to scale and innovate, we are looking for a sharp, proactive, and business-minded Commercial Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team and support our fast-paced global operations.

About the Role

In this role, you will be an integral part of our legal department, reporting to our Commercial Team Lead and serving as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams across the company. We are looking for someone with strong personal initiative who thrives on taking full ownership of tasks and workflows end-to-end.

You will work closely with various departments (Business Development, Marketing, Sales, Product, Procurement, and more), draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, and safeguard Artlist’s commercial and legal interests in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of commercial contracts and agreements (enterprise customer agreements, vendor agreements, strategic partnerships, SaaS/software licenses, data processing agreements, NDAs, terms of use, and content licenses).
  • Lead commercial and legal negotiations with domestic and international partners, clients, and suppliers.
  • Provide pragmatic, ongoing day-to-day legal guidance to various business units and management.
  • Advise Product and Marketing on new features, campaigns, and launches, including AI-powered tools.
  • Identify legal and operational risks and formulate creative, practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Take full ownership of cross-departmental legal projects from initiation through execution.

Requirements

  • LL.B. and member of the Israel Bar.
  • 2–4 years of post-qualification commercial legal experience (at a leading commercial law firm or an in-house legal department).
  • Proven hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements in English.
  • Exceptional cross-functional communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to build strong relationships with non-legal stakeholders and translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable business guidance.
  • High ownership & proactive mindset: A strong work ethic, high level of autonomy, "can-do" attitude, and the ability to drive initiatives independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full professional proficiency / Native-level English (written, spoken, and contract drafting) – Mandatory.
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking skills, with a commercial, business-oriented approach.

Advantages (Nice to Have)

  • Significant advantage: Prior experience as an In-House Legal Counsel in a high-tech or startup environment.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Intellectual Property (IP), copyright law, digital media, internet law, privacy/data protection, or AI regulation (e.g., the EU AI Act).
  • Experience negotiating with U.S. or European counterparties, including enterprise customers.
  • Knowledge of labor and employment law.
