Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial & Privacy

Description

AU10TIX is a global leader in identity verification and digital trust, helping banks, fintechs, marketplaces and platforms worldwide onboard real customers and stop fraud. Headquartered in Amsterdam, with our R&D center in Hod Hasharon and teams across Europe, the U.S. and Asia.

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial & Privacy - to join our legal team. You will own customer, partner, and vendor agreements end to end and work closely with our DPO on the privacy side of everything we sign and build. This is a role for an independent, AI-native lawyer who will lead how legal work gets done, not just do it.

What you'll do

Commercial

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of complex, high-value international commercial agreements, including customer MSAs and SaaS subscription agreements, POCs, reseller and partner agreements, vendor and procurement agreements, and NDAs.
  • Serve as the go-to legal partner for Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships and Procurement across the deal and renewal cycle, balancing deal velocity with sound risk management.
  • Own the company's contract templates, playbooks and fallback positions, and act as the escalation point for non-standard terms and deal risk.
  • Working closely with the DPO, negotiate DPAs in customer and vendor deals.

Beyond the contract

  • Lead and own core legal processes end-to-end, including contract intake, review and approval workflows, and contract management, and keep improving them as the business scales.
  • Work AI-native: use and build AI tools and workflows for drafting, redlining, review, research, and knowledge management, and help shape how the legal function adopts AI.
  • Advise senior management and business leaders on legal risk and strategy.
  • Take on ad hoc projects as the business grows.

Requirements

  • LL.B. from a leading academic institution and a license to practice law in Israel.
  • 4-6 years of post-qualification experience as in-house counsel at a global technology or SaaS company, or in the commercial or technology department of a leading Israeli law firm.
  • Proven track record leading complex negotiations of international commercial agreements, preferably client-facing SaaS agreements, with minimal supervision.
  • Hands-on experience with privacy and data protection.
  • Highly independent - a must. You own matters end to end, make the call, and know when to escalate.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Hebrew, with the ability to draft and negotiate in English.
  • A business-oriented, enabler mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters and tight deadlines in a fast-paced, global environment.

Advantages

  • Experience with biometric data, identity verification, fintech, or regulated customers (banks, payments, KYC/AML).
  • Familiarity with the EU AI Act and AI governance.
  • Experience in both a law firm and an in-house role.
