Cellular SW Tools & Automation Engineering Manager

The Cellular group develops cellular technology for Apple products, working across RF, HW, SW and validation. Our team sits at the center of that work: the group's validation work runs on infrastructure we build and maintain. Our work has a direct, visible effect on how fast and how well Apple's cellular products get validated.

Description

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead the SW Tools & Automation team in Apple's Cellular group in Herzliya. The team builds and runs the engineering backbone of Cellular RF validation. You will be in charge on a variety of domains: Validation environments, CI/CD and lab automation infrastructure, the data path (lab results), & a broad set of tools for test execution, results analysis and lab monitoring.

As manager, you will own the team's technical vision and its people. You will turn the needs of many engineering teams into a clear roadmap and make sure what we deliver is reliable, scalable and actually used.

You will inherit an established, high-impact team with a broad, mature portfolio, backed by a world-class organization. You will be able to shape the direction of systems used across Apple's cellular validation, work with talented colleagues in Israel and around the world, and grow your own career within Apple.

Minimum qualifications

Hands-on technical leader with at least 10 years of SW/DevOps experience and at least 3 years of people management

Strong Python skills

Deep CI/CD and automation experience, and a background in data and backend systems

You should also be comfortable bringing AI-powered development practices into your team

Just as important: you communicate clearly, you can balance the priorities of many stakeholders, and you care about hiring and growing great engineers

Preferred qualifications

Experience in RF validation, lab automation or HW test environments is a strong advantage
